Hotter Than Summer: Montreal Salsa Convention 2018
Posted on April 11 2018
What’s hotter than summer? How about one of the hottest dances in one of Canada’s hottest cities? By which we mean: a Salsa convention. In Montreal.
Excited yet? Because we are.
The 14th edition of the Montreal Salsa Convention will be taking over and burning up the floor at the Hyatt Regency Hotel from May 17th to the 21st 2018. It’s all Latin, all the time, with tons of workshops offered in Salsa, Bachata, Zouk, Kizomba, and more. There are free activities, competitions for amateurs and pros, and dancing all night with some of the hottest DJs such as Henry Knowles from New York, Jean Nonez from Montreal, and Alberth Moreno from Miami. To name just a few.
Adding to the lineup are some hot hot HOT International stars, like Carine and Rafael of Brazil, Joel and Ana Masacote from Boston, and Tito and Tamara from Puerto Rico. And these are only some of the names in attendance. Seriously. Get your tickets, people.
The event is hosted by the Canadian Salsa Dance Corporation a non–profit organization that promotes music, dance, and Latin culture while bringing together a multi-ethnic audience. Their goal is to inform and educate amateur artists as well as semi-professional dancers, and to provide a networking space for the developing artist.
And we’ll be there. For all of it. Our booth will be located at the Complexe Desjardins venue on Saturday May 19th and Sunday May 20th. Come talk salsa and dance shoes with us -- we’ll help you find that perfect customized pair that will take your dancing to the next level.
p.s. Here's a glimpse of what last year's convention looked like. In case you were wondering.
