World of Dance Celebration 2020

Posted on March 04 2020

If you’re planning on being in Vaughan, Ontario on March 7...so are we! Why? Well, it’s Dance Vitality’s World of Dance Celebration 2020 and this year looks like even more fun than usual! And last year was wonderful. Check out the video for some of the highlights:

The World of Dance Celebration is a classy, intimate event that places an emphasis on allowing newcomers to compete without stress and prepare themselves for future Dancesport competitions. This year’s edition will be held at the Westmount Event Center in Vaughan and is hosted by Kateryna Stytsenko and Dmitry Ilyushenov. The day will kick off at 8:30am with events for kids, including a parade and Amateur competition. At 12:30, doors open for adults to warm up before a packed afternoon takes off. Competitions are open for both American and International styles -- and there will be scholarship competitions in both categories as well! Events are open to Pro-Am as well as Amateur.

At 6:30pm doors open once more for a very well-deserved champagne reception, dinner, general dancing, and a stunning Pro Show showcasing Dmitry & Kateryna; Adam & Morgana; Kamil & Anna; Anton & Antoanetta; and Patrick & Anastasia. For a glimpse of what these dancers bring to the floor, check out the following videos:

And the best part? A portion of each ticket purchased goes to support the CanadaHelps charity. Great dancing for a great cause.

So mark your calendars, shine your shoes, and come dancing in Vaughan in March. We’ll be there with a booth from 9h00 to 20h00 and we look forward to seeing you there.

Anna thinks she might have been born dancing. She spent several years as a ballerina and is now in love with ballroom dancing...and just a little obsessed with Tango and Viennese Waltz and Bolero and Peabody and...all of it, really. Her studio is her home away from home. When not dancing, she can be found reading, writing, and traveling. And drinking copious amounts of tea.
