Glamour & Sizzle: The Edmonton Ballroom & Salsa Gala!

Edmonton, we know it’s November but get ready to turn up the heat with the inaugural Edmonton Ballroom and Salsa Gala! On the weekend of November 9th & 10th enjoy the glitz of ballroom and the sensual rhythms of Salsa and Bachata from the comfort of the Westin Edmonton.

Presented by Elite Dance Studio, Salsa Rica, & Alberta Dancesport, and hosted by Eric Caty and Kelly Lannan, the owners of Alberta Dancesport the Gala promises to be an exciting event!

Eric and Kelly, along with owning Alberta Dancesport, are also the directors of Salsa Rica Productions, the organizers of the Calgary International Salsa Congress, and the Rocky Mountain Dancesport Grand Prix.They are also choreographers on So You Think You Can Dance Canada, and have represented Canada at the World Professional Salsa Championships. Eric and Kelly still perform and teach on the international salsa circuit and judge many events including the Global Salsa Championships at the World Salsa Summit.

The Gala also boasts an impressive lineup of judges and artists including Martin Lefebvre as Chairman of the Judges and Fausto & Katlyn as guest artists! Martin Lefebvre is originally from Montreal and one of Canada’s most popular Dancesport coaches. He has been Quebec Champion and Canadian Champion and is licensed as an adjudicator by the WDC and the NDCC. From New York, Fausto and Katlyn are dancers, choreographers, directors, instructors, and models. Fausto holds many World Championship titles in Salsa and Bachata, including 4 time team Champion.

The event is open to Amateur and Pro-Am in both International and American styles. And the after party on Saturday will be hot hot HOT with Salsa/Bachata and Bachata/Kizomba rooms. All the excitement will take place at the Westin Edmonton, set in the heart of the vibrant Arts District. The hotel surrounded by restaurants, shops, and entertainment so you will have plenty to see on your downtime!
